ABOUT
Jessica Mellott is a pop/rock singer currently living in LA. She has performed at numerous venues including the Warner Theater, Strathmore Center, Hard Rock Cafe, Harvard Club, Walter Reed, House of Blues, and the Malibu Music Awards. She has gigged with famed 70s band The Spinners, as well as the J. Geils Band, James Montgomery, and Fred Buda of the Boston Pops.
She has collaborated on music with many talented producers, musicians, and songwriters, including Jimmy Greenspoon of 3 Dog Night and Brad Hatfield of the Boston Pops. She recently worked with Skyjam Videos to create the music video for her song, “Slow Motion,” co-written by music producer Matt Baamonde. In May 2010, Jessica graduated a year early from Berklee College of Music with focus in Vocal Performance and Songwriting.
Jessica has been the main page featured artist on numerous websites, including popular sites Zorpia, Orkut, and Windows Media Player. On Myxer.com, the ringtones for her songs were the featured product of the day and was one of their most successful promotions, with her ringtones downloaded over 6,000 times in 24 hours. Jessica was also a featured artist in the book, “Hacking MySpace: How to Make MySpace Your Space” c. 2006 Wiley Publishing, due to her popularity on the social media site. She has won numerous awards, including the Los Angeles Music Award for Pop Female Singer/Songwriter of the Year.
Beginning her formal voice training at age 5 with classical and musical theater pieces, she started her theatrical experience at the age of 7 playing the role of Gretl in “The Sound of Music,” finding that she loved acting as well. As the years passed, Jessica participated in many shows, with one of her favorites being the role of Mary Lennox in “The Secret Garden.” In 2005, Jessica earned a Certificate in Musical Theater from Stagedoor Manor, a prestigious acting camp in New York.
